World War II - One Of The Deadliest Wars In History
World War II lasted from 1939 to 1945. About 45 million to 75 million deaths were the result of this dreadful war. This also includes the over 6 million Jews killed during the Holocaust. It was the deadliest conflict in all of human history. 61 countries were directly involved in the war and 104 countries were affected by the war in one way or another. There were the Axis Powers and the Allied Powers. Two leaders of the Allied Powers were Franklin D. Roosevelt and Joseph Stalin. Three leaders from the Axis Powers were Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, and Hirohito.
